beautiful day~

wows :)

today was jonah (fka weilie)'s baptism. awesome. i believe his name is of great significance, and it is a good name. :) with a great meaning. today at water baptism i also saw some things for the first time, and i thank God also for zhiwen sending us down with his van. really he and liying are such a blessing to have around ! :) wells, at water bapt, we saw a few elderly get water baptised! they went first, for safety's sake, and they were around 60?70 yrs old. wow, a real encouragement to the heart man to see that. ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!!

also, saw a whole family baptised together! Papa Mama and 2 sons :) wow. as in really all go down during the same water bap slot. amazing :)

it was a beautiful day for water baptism : )saw a cloud in the sky moving with the wind. looking like a cross (wenhui and liying saw it sooner, i thot it was a bird like cloud :P) and it was moving along! :) beautiful, i dun have the picture, but think can get it from em. :)

Thank God for a great time at potluck yesterday! Indeed Jesus nourishes His Church.

I especially enjoyed games :D cos creativity was UNLEASHED!! well, even tho some of the towers of straw, newspaper and tape could not hold to the end, YET, it was really really GRAND for me to see the IDEAS and solutions thought up. More heads, better than one :) definately.

Theres SOO much food! Im still having yesterday's fried rice for lunch and there's still leftover!haha, cool eh? :) Ytr I shared a revelation to me with all:
sow a thought reap an action
sow an action reap a habit
sow a habit reap a character
sow a character reap a life!

this is an existing poem, not an original creation; but the thing is, if our thinking change does not equate to actions change, then we short circuit the process and our lives do not change!!

mebbe cos we know what to do? but at that point in time our feelings overwhelm or we lack the discipline to actually put to action what we know as right to do. i think its time we know its our responsibility to take action to change and we just gotta stop wallowing in self pity or blame other ppl for what is going on in our lives. hey, its our lives after all, right? :)

also many times in my life, i have found that i needed to come to God and submit my way of thinking. instead of thinking i know whats correct, or just because i came study so much so i know whats the way of solving every problem. but come to God and say, is this the way? and adjust my thinking to the Word of God. God doesnt adjust to us. We need to adjust to Him. Bible says the wisdom of man is foolishness to God.

Thank God for His love that I felt ytr when praying, love for all seated there, that He has much more for them, for us all. but i know, the promises of God dont fall into our laps. We need to reach out for them and it is in the reaching out that our lives are changed : ) (also not original, quoted from Pst ARBernard) hehx

so that thought ~action ~ habit~ character ~ life.

Ryan's still in KL on mission trip. I MISS HIM!!!!!! argh. he hasnt been able to msn from his BB too :p think cos he's really busy :S BUT nvm!! soon soon! and anws heard he bought me something! :) hehx.

this 2 weeks are weeks when my sisters, my gugu and my dearie will take turns to go overseas :) thus lengthening the *missing period* :) mel's now in chiangmai on a sponsored trip to present her dental project with her big eyed but sleepyeyed fren xingni..hehx. one of 2 teams from singapore! i think thats pretty cool :) hehehx

then gugu is gg to india on a company trip. wows man, shes been to more countries than me by working in this company! korea, hongkong, china and india!! im glad for her to experience so much! and constantly praying for her salvation.

then dearie is going to kl for his first mission trip!:) hes sooo excited! and im excited for him too!! hes been wanting to go so much :) he said he young he old also will go missions. and this is the first. :) wow.im inspired and provoked to go as well ! amen. i know he will bring many good reports and so looking forward to hearing them and the works God will do in and through him :) hehx :)

then manda is gg genting as her post A lvls trip:) my mei mei has been studying so hard, time she relax and unwind :)

me? i be a good girl and eat my meals at home with my parents :) heh,and Christmass is coming!! alot of prepare and plan for before executing the shopping part!! :) gifts.. cards... invitation to Christmas drama :)

to me relationship is meant to last:) and i guess my parents, ryan's parent and these 2 from my funkymonkeys are such an inspiration and joy for that reason. seeing them jus smiling together jus touches a heartstring in my heart. in a time when i hear abt so many breakups. i dunno. i just feel sad that i hear abt that rather than ppl who love God and love their partner. come what may. but i believe friendship, kinship , relationship all spells one thing: hard work. takes effort from both sides:) and what beautiful things could flow out of it. the future is limitless. may God bless every couple that comes together:) for better for worse


my cellgroup :) weilie is gg to get baptised this sunday. proud of him :) to stand up for his faith and praying that his family will one day come to Christ. hes gg to be called JONAH. it means dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit. :) thats a good name to go by :) i know God has so much more in store for E467, He is God of new & greater things, always!

some lessons learnt

Ryan says i nv update my blog. no, im updating now!;) ive also uploaded new sketches on http://steffiisdoodles.blogspot.com! do take a peek! haha, very basic sketches, but theyre a start! :)

learnt that i gotta know where i am heading, that aims and goals are very important, if there is no defined goals, may end up walking in circles. for career, for ministry and spiritual life, for family, for future businesses, for health! cannot let things that happen dictate what happens, but we can plan our life! Bible says, we should plan our steps, counting on God to direct us :) Thks Ryanly :) for exemplifying it out.

was reading Pst Phil's book on leadership. Pst Phil said the world is changed from top down and not bottom up. what runs in the blood of the fathers also runs in the blood of the children. i learnt that role models are v impt. for us to have and for us to be. looking to those over us and living out to those under us. becos whatever we do and say and are, doesnt just affect ourselves. there is a domino effect on those around us. no man is an island.

i heart today cos its like sabbath for me heh. Ryan's the hero, saturday he has to be up early to bring his kids to jams. aWWwsome : )

i forgot to give testimony ytr, but here goes: last weekend, i went with R to prawning. and we ate the prawn at the zhicha stall (asked the aunty help us cook) with fried rice. Yum! :) but i didnt know, i was allergic to freshwater prawns! halfway through the movie later in the evening, The Ugly Truth, i felt my lips were a little funny feeling. haha.. i was feeling it, wondering why.. then i developed a rash on my right shoulder. okie... hmm haha, so i turned to R and asked him if my lips were swollen! ps: the upper lip was. and the look on his face was like. woah~ haha i rmb i didnt hear him laugh at the movie much after that moment! well, the rash became itchy and worse, so i wanted to leave. Thk God for Ryan, cos i dunno what i would have done. we took cab to a 24hr clinic in serangoon, (thk God it was open, cos next day was hari raya) and the doctor prescribed some steroids for me. haha Ryan said the look on my face was like it was the end of the world. hmm haha well, at that point in time, i really thot 'what on earth is happening to me?' hahaa.. o well. now i know what its like to have sausage lips, hor? :)

oh then theres the visit to see lucas!! he is soo cute i tell you! haha, cos he is starting to talk! That's Ryan's mummy :) cute eh? heheh i was trying to teach lucas to say Po Po. he mouthed it! babies are such a gift, bundles of innocence and purity, also of crying and all the rest la ! hahaa...and you should see how Uncle lee and Lucas communicate. Its classic~ haha (",)

Went to 2 weddings over that weekend, one was Ken Teo's the other was Qiulong and Susan's :D
